Stuart Carmichael commenced his appraisal career in Australia prior to immigrating to Canada in 1988 where he was employed first as senior appraiser for a Vancouver based firm, and for 2 years as the principal of Carmichael Appraisal and Investments Ltd.

Stuart has lectured on various occasions at the University of British Columbia (Real Estate Division) and also for the Faculty of Law.

He has a broad experience in real estate appraisal, including detailed market analysis and development feasibility studies and he has been accepted as an expert witness before the Assessment Appeal Board of British Columbia, and at arbitration hearings.
