From January 1974 to August 1977, Brian was employed with United Dominions Investments Ltd. Brian’s primary responsibility was management of the Mortgage Department under the direction of the Vice-President of the company. In August 1977, Brian joined the City of Edmonton as an appraiser in the Assessment Department. His duties included defending assessments before the Court of Revision and the Assessment Appeal Board. Assessment appeals are a major area of Brian_s specialization.

Brian joined a local appraisal firm for four years. He became a principal in another Edmonton appraisal company and remained in his role until July 1, 1988 when Frost & Associates was established. Since 1981, Brian has been actively involved in the analysis of industrial projects, shopping centres and apartment buildings throughout the Edmonton region.

Brian currently holds the AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) and P.App (Professional Appraiser) designations. In addition, he has completed a number of courses relating to Municipal Assessment and has appeared before the Alberta Assessment Appeal Board as well as the Court of Queen's Bench as an expert witness.
